Alejandro Jodorowsky is a Chilean-French filmmaker, writer, and artist, known for his surrealist and provocative works that challenge conventional norms. His films often feature dreamlike imagery, religious and mystical themes, and graphic violence. Jodorowsky's approach to art is influenced by his interest in esotericism, shamanism, and surrealism. He started his artistic career as a theater director in Chile, and later moved to Paris to pursue filmmaking.
