Last week, we added a new section to Midlibrary—General Modifiers (or GenMods for short). In a nutshell, GenMods are tokens (words and expressions) that—when added to your prompt—impact its outcome. What separates that category from other Midjourney styles is that GenMods do not refer to a specific artist, artistic technique, genre, or title.

In today’s compilation, we travel in time and unlock the doors to the Renaissance, a period of artistic mastery and innovation that shaped Western art. Through the lens of Midjourney we look at 15 amazing Renaissance styles: from Van Eyck’s intricate realism and Caravaggio’s dramatic light to Raphael’s perfect proportions, and El Greco’s mystical visions.

Starting today, our weekly updates will have a new format. Instead of publishing large batches of freshly added styles, we will put out less—to focus more on each artist and technique.

In the first update of the new kind, I want to say THANK YOU to the Midlibrary community. To you! For your support, feedback, and your constant suggestions. We test every name you send, carefully catalog them, and write a short bio for each artist (for the future website)—and this is how Midlibrary grows. So thank you! In this update, we feature ten mind-blowing styles that you suggested.

As promised, we present to you the most 'overlooked' styles in Midlibrary. These are the styles which appeared only once in our search statistics, and we strongly believe that these talented artists and the way Midjourney sees and interprets theirs styles deserve to be loved and noticed by you! 

Today's update added 50 new styles to the Library. Here is my pick of the Top 10 artists from this week's addition!

In the last weeks, we have added more than 300 styles to Midlibrary catalog. Today, we look at some of the most powerful and intriguing of these latest additions.

Introducing our latest exploration of artistic preferences of Midlibrary users: the Top Styles by Country. After analyzing visitor data from 11 countries this month, we present the most popular artistic styles and genres associated are Number 1 in each!  

This month, we added 220 new styles to Midlibrary: from Titles and Techniques to artists from different epochs and from all over the world! For today's Top Styles compilation, we picked 24 fantastic names from that recent update that will take your prompts to a whole new visual level.

Today's update is devoted to the best artists to turn to when you work on Cyberpunk or Sci-Fi themed art. We have eight illustrators (one of them in --niji!), a painter, and even a photographer for you to try!

This week we added new illustrators, children's books authors, and new techniques to the Library. And here is my pick of the TOP 10 styles from that update that are fantastic for children-related art!

Last week, we delved into statistics and numbers! The Midlibrary team analyzed which styles our library visitors enjoy using the most, who their preferred artists are, and what techniques they are interested in trying. We plan to share these insights with you in the coming weeks. And mark the beginning of our Statistics Journey—here are the Top 10 Most Popular Artists (and one Genre) according to Midlibrary users!

Today, we dive deep into Midjourney AI styles for creating cinematic visuals.

Whether you want to illustrate a pitch for a movie studio, create a mood board for your film project, or just make cool-looking wall art—these names are worth checking out!

There are two fundamental changes in how we approach Style Tops that this edition signifies. First, we're shifting from a benchmark-style approach—where the same prompts were used for all styles—to using unique prompts crafted specifically for each style. This change allows for a more nuanced and interesting exploration of how each style behaves.

Secondly, after investing hundreds of hours and generating thousands of "by-product" images to curate the best selections for our Tops, I developed a sense of how particular parameters work with various style modifiers. Specifically, the two parameters—*--stylize* and *--chaos*—are key in my prompting strategy. Going forward, we'll include these parameters in the prompts to give you an idea of which combinations work best with specific styles and particular wording.

Of course, this is subjective, and I encourage you to explore other prompt strategies and parameter combinations to gain your own insights. Consider Midlibrary Style Tops as your starting point!

In July, we launched our first personalized Midjourney tool—Personal Libraries. Accessible exclusively to members of our Patreon community, a Personal Library allows them to create an unlimited number of Style Collections and save styles from the Midlibrary catalog into thematic compilations. These collections can then be bookmarked for quick access to their favorite styles or even saved as PDFs for printing. In just under two months, our patrons have created almost 600 such collections! We see this as a valuable opportunity to identify which styles are most popular among Midjourney enthusiasts.
