Visionary American painter and muralist
Amanda Sage is an American painter known for her visionary and psychedelic art. Born in 1978 in Denver, Colorado, Sage studied at the Vienna Academy of Visionary Art under the guidance of Ernst Fuchs, a key figure in the Fantastic Realism movement. Sage's work is characterized by intricate details, vibrant colors, and often incorporates themes of spirituality, consciousness, and interconnectedness. Her paintings often depict surreal landscapes, otherworldly beings, and intricate patterns that evoke a sense of the mystical and the transcendent.
Sage has exhibited her work internationally, with solo and group shows in galleries and museums across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Some of her notable exhibitions include Luminous Flux at the Galerie 10 in Vienna, The 5th Element at the HR Giger Museum in Switzerland, and Visionary Alchemy at the One Art Space in New York City. In addition to her painting practice, Sage is also a teacher and has led workshops and classes on visionary art techniques and the creative process.
Sage's work has been featured in various publications and media, including the book Visionary Art Yearbook and the documentary film The Visionary Art of Amanda Sage. She is also a member of the Society for Art of Imagination and the International Association of Visionary Art. Through her art and teaching, Sage aims to inspire others to tap into their own creativity and explore the depths of their consciousness.
