Image making technique
To highlight the style's strenghts and features, we run each SREF code through a set of 16 standardized prompts—Midlibrary Benchmark. Each prompt demonstrates how the SREF ”behaves“ in various domains of visual art/applications.
Chemigram is a photographic technique that combines elements of painting and photography, using chemicals to create abstract images on photographic paper without a camera. It involves applying photographic developer and fixer to paper, allowing the chemicals to interact and form unique patterns and textures.
Chemigram's Midjourney style representation features abstract and surreal qualities, with a focus on geometric and detailed patterns. The compositions are characterized by fluid forms and organic shapes, creating interconnected patterns and layered textures. The color palette includes earthy tones, black and white, and warm hues, providing a contrasting and moody atmosphere. Techniques such as chemical reactions and liquid manipulation are evident, resulting in dynamic and intriguing visuals that echo the experimental nature of the original chemigram process.
