To highlight the style's strenghts and features, we run each SREF code through a set of 16 standardized prompts—Midlibrary Benchmark. Each prompt demonstrates how the SREF ”behaves“ in various domains of visual art/applications.
Lo-fi photography is a style characterized by its use of simple, often analog cameras, resulting in images with imperfections like light leaks, vignetting, and grain. This aesthetic embraces a raw, unpolished look, often evoking nostalgia and a sense of authenticity. It is popular for its ability to capture moments in a candid, unrefined manner, often associated with personal and intimate subject matter.
Lo-fi photography's Midjourney style representation features a dreamy and surreal quality, with a focus on moody, urban settings. The images often have a soft focus and grainy texture, creating an analog feel with muted tones and cool hues. Compositions are typically off-center, utilizing negative space and intimate perspectives to evoke introspection and solitude. The use of dim lighting and shadow play enhances the ethereal and melancholic atmosphere, while the soft pastels and misty ambiance contribute to a nostalgic and cinematic aesthetic.
