To highlight the style's strenghts and features, we run each SREF code through a set of 16 standardized prompts—Midlibrary Benchmark. Each prompt demonstrates how the SREF ”behaves“ in various domains of visual art/applications.
Pulp art is a style of illustration that emerged in the early 20th century, primarily used for the covers of pulp magazines. These magazines were known for their sensational and lurid stories, often featuring crime, romance, and adventure. The art style is characterized by its bold, dramatic imagery, vivid colors, and dynamic compositions, often depicting scenes of action, suspense, and intrigue.
Pulp art's Midjourney style representation captures the essence of this genre with a focus on bold, retro aesthetics. The visuals are marked by vivid reds, deep blacks, and warm yellows, creating a dramatic and intense atmosphere. The compositions are dynamic, often featuring close-ups and diagonal lines that emphasize action and emotion.
