Printing technique
To highlight the style's strenghts and features, we run each SREF code through a set of 16 standardized prompts—Midlibrary Benchmark. Each prompt demonstrates how the SREF ”behaves“ in various domains of visual art/applications.
Redscale print is a photographic technique where film is loaded into a camera backwards, causing the light to pass through the film base before reaching the emulsion. This results in a distinctive red or orange hue in the images, often creating a warm, vintage effect. Redscale photography is known for its unique color shifts and can add an atmospheric, surreal quality to the photographs.
Redscale print's Midjourney style representation features a warm, monochromatic palette dominated by orange and sepia tones. The images exhibit a grainy texture reminiscent of analog photography, with a focus on surreal and dreamy landscapes, urban decay, and solitary figures. The compositions often emphasize depth and central focus, with a cinematic and moody atmosphere.
