To highlight the style's strenghts and features, we run each SREF code through a set of 16 standardized prompts—Midlibrary Benchmark. Each prompt demonstrates how the SREF ”behaves“ in various domains of visual art/applications.

This method, developed in the early 20th century, allows for a seamless blend of live-action and animation, providing a unique visual experience that has been utilized in both traditional and digital formats.
Rotoscope animation's Midjourney style representation features bold and surreal visuals with a focus on fantasy and dark themes. The style is characterized by intense, dramatic, and mysterious atmospheres, achieved through digital illustration techniques like vector art and line drawing. The compositions often include close-up portraits with dynamic angles, emphasizing facial features through contrasting shadows and vivid color palettes. This approach results in a cinematic and expressive portrayal of characters, blending contemporary and graphic novel styles with high contrast and stylized realism.
