Octavio Ocampo (born February 28, 1943, in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico) is one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Mexican art. Known for his intricate and mesmerizing «metamorphic» style of painting, Ocampo crafts visual illusions that weave together a multitude of detailed figures and landscapes to create larger composite images.
