Artist
Artur Bordalo, commonly known as Bordalo II, is a Portuguese street artist born in Lisbon in 1987. He gained international recognition for his series "Trash Animals," where he creates large-scale installations and sculptures using discarded materials like plastic, metal, and other waste. These works are often placed in public spaces and aim to draw attention to the environmental impact of pollution and waste, as well as the plight of animals affected by human activity.
Bordalo's art is characterized by its vibrant colors, intricate detail, and the transformative use of recycled materials. His works serve as both visually striking art pieces and poignant social commentaries, challenging viewers to reconsider their own roles in environmental degradation.
