Edward Wadsworth
English Vorticist painter
Edward Wadsworth was an English painter and printmaker associated with the Vorticist movement. He studied at the Slade School of Fine Art and was a founding member of the Vorticist group, contributing to the Blast magazine. Wadsworth's work is characterized by its geometric abstraction and industrial themes, often reflecting the mechanized modern world. Notable works include Dazzle-ships in Drydock at Liverpool, which exemplifies his involvement in the dazzle camouflage technique used during World War I.
