Isaiah Zagar
American mosaic artist
Isaiah Zagar is an American mosaic artist known for his extensive work in the South Street area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born in 1939, Zagar has created numerous public murals and installations that incorporate a variety of materials, including tiles, mirrors, and found objects. His most notable project is Philadelphia's Magic Gardens, an immersive mixed-media art environment that spans half a city block and features intricate mosaic work. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Pratt Institute in New York City.
