Olafur Eliasson
Danish-Icelandic installation artist and sculptor
Olafur Eliasson is a Danish-Icelandic artist born in 1967, renowned for large-scale installations and sculptures that explore light, water, and air temperature. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
Eliasson gained international acclaim with "The Weather Project" (2003) at Tate Modern, creating an artificial sun with monofrequency lamps, mirrors, and mist, sparking discussions on climate change. His work often incorporates architecture, design, and engineering to create immersive environments.
