Edgar Maxence
French Symbolist painter
Edgar Maxence was a French painter associated with the Symbolist movement. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris under Elie Delaunay and Gustave Moreau. Maxence's work often featured mystical and allegorical themes, characterized by meticulous detail and a rich color palette. Notable works include La Légende bretonne and La Fée aux Perles.
